The resource of wind turbines is the kinetic energy of the wind. Recordings of wind speed, made over a long period in a territory, make it possible to map the energy resource of the wind. Such a map, shown in Figure 3.1, confirms that the most important wind power is located in the northwest and southeast parts of the French territory.
