Abstract The author takes up and discusses briefly some of the more important subjects which come to the air-transport engineer for consideration. These are: the selection of routes; selection of aircraft; preparation of terminal field equipment; development of airways; provision of aids to aerial navigation; determination of flying schedules; establishment of sources of material supply; keeping of performance records; and the preparation of cost estimates and analyses.
