The Treatment of Infantile Spasms and Hypsarrhythmia with Mogadon

Abstract

SUMMARYReport about experiences with Mogadon in the treatment of 24 children with infantile spasms and hypsarrhythmia. Control of spasms was obtained, together with improvement or normalisation of the EEG, in 13 out of the 24 cases described. Among the side‐effects of Mogadon, hypersecretion in the respiratory tract is the most troublesome. By comparison, the other side‐effects are of little consequence.
