The results in a continuing study, using the Haemoccult slides for mass Screening in colorectal cancer In asymptomatic individuals in Central Queensland, are presented. They are compared with those in a review of the incidence of the same disease treated during the years 1972 to 1976 in the same area. A discussion is undertaken to determine whether the slide test will improve the five‐year survival rates in this district.
