Summary The chief disorders of blood coagulation are discussed as predisposing or complicating factors in intracranial haemorrhage. Six cases of intracranial haemorrhage associated with various coagulation defects (haemophilia, hypoprothrombinaemia, and platelet deficiencies) are presented. Their management is discussed. If the coagulation defect can be corrected or controlled, there is a reasonable possibility that surgical evacuation may be successful, especially when the haema‐toma is superficially situated.
