Forest Age and Management Measures Regulate the Responses of Forest Ecosystem to Drought

Abstract

Under the ongoing intensification of climate change, the response mechanisms of forest ecosystems to drought are significantly influenced by stand‐age dynamics and management practices. There is an urgent need to integrate species‐specific functional traits and management intervention strategies into a resistance–resilience assessment framework to improve the understanding and predictive capacity of forest ecosystem responses to drought and their vulnerability across different forest types.
