Recently, we have read the original article written by Yaling Lu et al1 , which was published in European Journal of Neurology [1]. The authors enrolled 635 acute ischemic stroke patients with soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) measurements from the China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke, one multicenter randomized clinical trial in China, to explore the relationship between sST2 and post-stroke depression (PSD).
