
Two simple cloaking configurations that can be used for reducing the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of cylindrical metal objects are presented in this paper. The RCS reduction is accomplished by covering the objects with two different cloaking surfaces i.e. conical metal disks cloak and super thin cloak whose designs are based on the transmission line approach and the microwave networks respectively. The performance of the cloak is analyzed by calculating the RCS of the objects without and with the cloak. The RCS of the objects with conical metal disk cloak is reduced from 2.17m2 to 0.76m2 and with super thin cloak the reduction is from 0.6m2 to 0.3m2.
