Electromagnetic Design of Ironless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor

Abstract

The paper deals with the electromagnetic design of Ironless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor PMLMS for various geometrical configurations of primary and secondary parts by means of Finite Element method in 2D and 3D. The real prototypes are introduced and the calculated results are compared with measured ones.
