Microbiological precipitation of strontium carbonate

Abstract

In this paper, The strontium carbonate precipitate was induced with the role of the enzymes according to the bacillus pasteurii reproduction in different concentrations of Sr2+. The morphology and structure of strontium carbonate were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM). The results showed that the induced strontium carbonate precipitation was mainly orthorhombic, it's morphology was irregular aggregated bodies and rhombus blocks. Bacterial played an important role in the strontium carbonat crystal nucleation, growth and accumulation process.
