Intelligent Particle Finders with the ZEUS Micro-Vertex Detector

Abstract

The ZEUS micro-vertex detector has been installed during a luminosity upgrade in 2000-01. It has been operated reliable in the HERA-II run period. The design of the MVD is described briefly. The tagging capability of charmed particles is presented in this paper. Individual vertex finders are adapted for different charm particle decay topologies.
