Wikipedia was recently enhanced by a knowledge base: Wikidata. Thousands of volunteers who collect facts and their sources help grow and maintain Wikidata. Within only a few months, more than 16 million statements about more than 4 million items have been added to the project, ready to support Wikipedia and to enable and enrich many different types of external applications.
