A complete family of good quasi-orthogonal STBC and a new family of orthogonal STBC for four transmit antennas

Abstract

A method is proposed to find a complete family of good QOSTBC designs for four transmit antennas that can be decoded pairwisely and are robust over highly correlated channels (HCC) and in which each symbol is seen through each channel only once. Based on the good QOSTBC thus found, a new family of rate 3/4 orthogonal STBC is designed with a diversity product larger than those of the linear orthogonal STBC and QOSTBC.
