Decode and forward based cooperative system for MANETs

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a decode and forward (DF) based cooperative system with 2 relays for mobile ad-hoc network (MANET). The proposed system includes Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based physical layer design. Maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) based MIMO detection is performed at relays as well at destination. The diversity order is analysed with closed-form expressions for the pairwise error probability (PEP) and validated with MATLAB simulations. The proposed system with code rate R achieves 2nd order diversity at a transmission rate of 2R/3.
