Metrology database design

Abstract

We report the creation of a special electronic database for metrological information. The original concept involved the use of a MS-DOS based system and allowed us to explore the basic design requirements. We continued to develop and refine this software over a 4-year period. Eventually, we realized it would not be possible to remain within the MS-DOS system and we embraced the world of Microsoft Windows products.
