In this paper, space vector modulated isolated matrix type three phase AC/DC converter has been investigated. The topology is derived from matrix rectifier by adding a high frequency transformer. Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is the most commonly used modulation method for matrix rectifier. However, there are several switching schemes of SVPWM. The different patterns of SVPWM have effects on converter’s input current quality and output voltage ripple. In this paper, different patterns of SVPWM have been simulated and compared to find a better switching scheme for isolated matrix rectifier.
