Abstract

In order to eliminate delivery bottlenecks in China E-commerce logistics, a suggestion about building collection and delivery point (CDP) of parcels in China is proposed. Firstly the operation pattern of CDP system is introduced with its fundamental types, reviews of related overseas academic research are summarized. Three kinds of sources of investment are discussed and their corresponding characteristics are briefly analyzed. Operation schemes of CDP are designed including possible locations in layout decision, delivery process under two circumstances and charging management. Finally, the paper brings forward suggestions of adopting joint investment mode, building risk management mechanism, cultivating delivery habits and expanding network gradually for the implementation of CDP system.
