In order to satisfy all the new services proposed by mobile communication providers, terminal antennas both on the base station and on the mobile end are more and more asked to handle multiple frequency bands. In this paper, performances of several types of multiband antennas are compared, taking into consideration available volume, bandwidths, efficiency and ease of design.
