Enhancement of an algorithm is insignificant unless proven. This study implemented a salting algorithm to the round key for the corrected block tiny encryption algorithm otherwise known as XXTEA, to further enhanced its security against known cryptanalysis against it. The enhanced XXTEA (eXXTEA) showcases a 4.97% improvement on the avalanche effect compared to the original algorithm. Moreover, eXXTEA passed all randomness tests identified while the original algorithm failed on the frequency test. It's worth noting that there's a vast difference between the p-value score between those two.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
