Research on Production of Regional Animation Style Based on Computer Graphic Rendering

Abstract

Recently, the way expressing artistic styles of different regions appear diversity in animation. Computer graphics rendering (CG rendering) technology is widely applied in the production process of animation. The traditional production method is to develop the regional style by combining screen shots with different tones in two-dimensional space. This method has some limitations in aspect of the camera scheduling and spatial expression. A creative method of presenting regional animation style has been summarized and proposed in this paper. Take the production process of film "Seeking" as example, Hui'an local culture and customs was firstly studied for the extraction of key cultural symbols which are used to guide the playwriting, character design and scene design. Via the application of a digital rendering technique named multi-layer texture, 2D style of visual effect could be simulated during the medium-term production stage. Finally, regional style of film is unified by the digital effects post production. The result shows that the animation produced through this process not only has a strong visual impact, but also is full of regional style. This animation creation method has certain instructive significance for the research in this filed.
