Fuzzy PID control of intelligent pump

Abstract

To solve the pressure control problems in the aerial hydraulic system on the high pressure and low flow condition, a scheme is raised on the technology of intelligent pump. In this paper, a mathematical model of intelligent pump is built based on the structure and principle of system. As the load in the aerial hydraulic system is complex and the mathematical model is nonlinear, a fuzzy PID control algorithm is raised to adjust the output to the load. When the fuzzy PID control system is established, a simulation with the Simulink toolbox is applied to the system with a comparison of classical PID controller. The simulation results reflect that the fuzzy PID controller has a better rapidity and accuracy than classical PID controller when the system is nonlinear.
