In this paper we present an architecture for an intelligent distributed database. It integrates different kinds of database, such as relational, object-oriented, temporal, knowledge, deductive and multimedia databases, among others. In our approach we are using concepts from federate databases, fuzzy classified systems; and a database integration methodology. The architecture is based on a bridge as a mediator and uses learning machines to manage events, data and knowledge.
