This paper presents the results of recognition of a helicopter based on experimental data recorded by a passive bistatic radar exploiting DVB-T2 transmitter as an illuminator of opportunity. The recognition is based on detection and analysis of the parameters of helicopter main and tail rotor blades. The rotation rates of the main and tail rotor are extracted from Doppler signature of the recorded Mi-8 helicopter echo and used for classification.
