The DWT Group Fingerprinting Scheme

Abstract

With the development of network and multimedia technique, the transfer of multimedia content becomes popular. The relations between distributors get hierarchical and diversified. As far as digital wholesale and retail are concerned, the traditional fingerprint which helps traitor tracing cannot achieve effective tracing of colluding middlemen. Therefore, we improve the multiple watermarking schemes, embed the group and member information into the media together, and thus make it suitable to protect the media from group colluding attacks. Firstly, the group information is embedded into the low frequency coefficients which carry major information of the media. The member information is embedded into the mid-high ones which carry detailed information of the media. The content based group fingerprinting has been implemented. Secondly, the capacity of the wavelet coefficients is calculated with the HVS model. The HVS based group fingerprinting scheme has been realized. The two implemented schemes are segmented DWT group fingerprinting schemes. Experiment results show that the two DWT group fingerprinting schemes achieve good performance against traditional media processing and group colluding attacks. Furthermore, the HVS based scheme has gained acceptable performance which certainly improves the performance of the content based system.
