In this paper, we propose a new method in simulating the thick and bulky effect of winter clothing. The major implementation context for this approach is targeted at the online garment demonstration where the 3D appearance is of the priority. To enhance the fidelity of simulation, the photo of the real article is taken as the original pattern for virtual sewing and texturing. Cylindrically mapping of the hood panel is carried to reach the visual requirement of hood when draping along the shoulder. Experimental results validate that our proposed method is an efficient approach in simulation 3D winter clothing with or without hood.
