Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus has reached epidemic proportions in the past few years worldwide. However, significant disparities exist in its prevalence and trends. The aim of this paper is to discuss a review of the risk socio-demographic factors studied and the profile obtained for type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, as well as addressing the principal techniques used by different authors whom have approached the problem.
