In this paper an overview of various state feedback-based control strategies is presented. Five different scenarios are considered in this extensive research study. It is shown, that the widely known deadbeat control problem can be understood and solved in different manners. Moreover, the so-called pole-free perfect control instance turned out to have, despite similarities in the terms of pole placement problem, interesting peculiarities worth of further investigation. Simulation examples made in Matlab/Simulink environment are presented here in order to illustrate the differences between mentioned control strategies.
