Radio over Fiber system is a promising technology to fulfill elevated demand of capacity and high data rate. The performance of RoF system is severely degraded due to presence of nonlinear distortions for instance inter-modulation distortion and harmonic distortion. Accordingly, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme is being proposed for the deployment of long-reach, high-speed and high-capacity RoF system in this work. This work demonstrates to implement OFDM-RoF system embodying OSSB, ODSB and OTSB modulation schemes. Further, to recommend a suitable Radio over Fiber system for meeting the increasing demand of real time high-speed broadband mobile services, a contrast is drawn against conventional RoF system in this work.
