While the interpretation of medical data is very often an ambiguous process, computers usually display the results of recommendations provided by both human experts and computer algorithms as concrete data. This study proposes a visual presentation of relative degrees of uncertainty as well as "standard" concrete medical data. A medical parameter (mean arterial pressure) is dynamically evaluated during surgery for being too low or too high. Utilizing fuzzy membership functions, we can display degrees of deviation in the form of a clear and concise pie chart. Thus, in the operating room, the anesthesiologist can be provided with an easy statistical assessment of the uncertainty of existing recommendations.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
