A computer-assisted dental prosthesis and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) approach is proposed to prove permanent prosthesis of the occlusal function. This novel CAD/CAM method consists of planning and design of implants, surgical guides and dental crown as well as the fabrication of the dental crown using selective slurry extrusion (SSE) based technique of rapid prototyping (RP). Compared with traditional dental restoration technology, this process exhibits potential to provide dental patients with functional, esthetical and low cost restorations.
