The paper presents a novel method for an agile and precise indoor wireless power transfer (WPT) operation by means of a time-modulated array (TMA). The high level of reconfiguration of these arrays is fully exploited by a two-step procedure: first, according to the radar-monopulse principle, a two-element time-modulated sub-array is used for localization of tagged sensors to be energized; then the entire 16-element TMA provides the power to the detected tags, by deploying the fundamental and first sidebands harmonic radiation. The needed nonlinear/full-wave CAD platform is described and simulation results are shown.
