Online Continues Vietnamese Handwritten Character Recognition Based on Microsoft Handwritten Character Recognition Library

Abstract

In recent years, there are many types of equipment using pen-based operations such as Tablet PC, intelligent mobiles and pocket devices such as PDA, Pocket PC etc... In order to input data into computers, pen-based operations are more advantage and friendly than other methods. Therefore, online handwritten character system is the preferred input method for pen-based computer. For online English character recognition, it was resolved and they were integrating into above devices. In fact, in Vietnam, commerce software relating into online Vietnamese character recognition do not exist. Therefore, we are investigating and implementing a software package VnOnline 1.0 on Tablet PC that includes above functions. Its rate of word recognition is above 80%.
