A novel mechanism has been proposed in this paper to set up diverse connections across ASON networks. The two connections sharing no common links or transport network elements enable complete end-to-end diversity over ASON architecture that including UNIs diversity, ENNIs diversity and diversity inside vendor's transport network. The proposed mechanism also pays attention to the network security by restricting intra topological information in the vendor's transport network.
