We present topological obstructions to the existence of C1 stabilizing feedback laws for control systems of the form x = f(x, u), subject to the constraint that the system function f and the feedback law u are assumed to depend only on selected subsets of the state variables. Such constraints arise naturally in the context of distributed control systems, and the topological obstructions are expressed in terms of the generators of certain homology groups associated with the control problem.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
