A new textual language for the formal description of static and dynamic object models is proposed. The language is UML based and is given the name UML-L. UML-L targets the developers of object model design analysis tools, allowing them to perform analyses and checking on the object model described using UML. For illustration, UML-L is used to analyze the static object model and check the consistency between the definitions of static and dynamic object models.
