The concepts behind externally linear, internally nonlinear integrators are reviewed, and the contest in which such integrators can find use in signal processing is discussed. Several examples of specific cases are offered, including log-domain, exponential state space, square root domain, piecewise-linear, and nonlinear capacitance circuits. Several issues requiring caution are discussed.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 9 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
