The Cable Ampacity Program (CAP), a set of user-friendly routines for IBM or compatible desktop computers is discussed. CAP includes a user-friendly front-end program, INPUT; a steady-state analysis program, SAMP; a transient analysis program, TAMP; support files for all programs; and graph programs for display of the steady-state and transient results. INPUT, SAMP, and TAMP are described. >
