CAD systems with embedded, integrated knowledge-based components can make users more productive by leveraging knowledge about the design, engineering, and manufacture of the system or part being designed. We discuss some of the results of our experience, including the embedding of a knowledge-based systems tool in three commercial CAD systems using a special integration software program. This software, called Stonerule, acts as an integration mechanism between the CAD system and the knowledge-based design application. >
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 6 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
