An integrated network component architecture

Abstract

To deploy large-scale, interactive, distributed systems, we need architectures that support integration of new and existing components and allow dynamic configuration of component connections. The architecture presented in this article builds connection mechanisms into the components, which facilitates composition and the construction of flexible, scalable systems.
