
The Cloud has emerged as the solution for fast application deployment and cheap and flexible private infrastructure replacement, as well as for providing scalable services over the internet. The current paper tries to provide an overview of the current technologies related to the Cloud, their features and interactions. The services and platforms used in the Cloud have their specific advantages and drawbacks which we try to capture. The overview describes private, proprietary as well as open Cloud frameworks.
