Abstract

IF there was one action designed to gratify the emotions of free traders it was British Leyland's “Superdeal” announcement. With other UK‐based car manufacturers swiftly following suit with their own better‐deal‐for‐the customer schemes, there came the obvious reaction from those who are opposed to the current clamour for import controls.
