Rolls‐Royce Spey Power Plant

Abstract

WHEN the BAC One‐Eleven enters airline service next year its power plants will already have obtained extensive airline experience with the cle Havilland Trident. Since the complete Spey pod for the Onc‐Elcvcn is virtually identical to the podded installation of the Spey on the Trident, thousands of hours of operating experience will have been gained with the Tridents flying on the routes of British European Airways.
