The American Society for Testing Materials held their annual committee week at Buffalo in March this year. Among the week's features was a symposium on the properties, tests and performance of electrodeposited metallic coatings. Some of the papers presented then are summarised below. The symposium is to be presented again at a meeting at Los Angeles in September, after which it will be published by the society as a special technical publication.
