Abstract

The apparatus used in the search for cosmic-ray particles of mass ~550m/ sub e/ is described. It is concluded that the abundance of mass-550m/sub e/ particles which decay into a light meson is less than about 0.05% relative to mu mesons. (W.D.M.) interaction data that makes fll use of the diffuse
