We present approximate solutions to the equations of motion for a ray of light in the Kerr metric which are correct up to and including second-order terms in m/${r}_{\mathrm{min}}$ and a/${r}_{\mathrm{min}}$, where m and a are the Kerr mass and spin, respectively, while ${r}_{\mathrm{min}}$ is the distance of closest approach. We use these expressions to investigate the multi-imaging aspect of the gravitational lens effect.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 36 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
