We present an exact solution of a one-dimensional (1D) model: a particle of incident energy E colliding with a target which is a 1D harmonic «solid slab» with N atoms in its ground state; the Hilbert space of the target is restricted to the (N+1) states with zero or one phonon present. For the case of a short-range interaction V(z) between the particle and the surface atom supporting a bound state, an explicit nonperturbative solution of the collision problem is obtained
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 53 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
