Superconductivity has been observed for two structures of lanthanum. A close-packed hexagonal structure was found to have a transition temperature near 5.0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K and the face-centered cubic structure had a transition temperature of 5.95\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K. The initial slope of the ${H}_{c}\ensuremath{-}T$ curve for the face-centered cubic structure was 550 oe/deg. The transition temperature decreased with decreasing lanthanum content for the La-Y and La-Lu alloys studied.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 35 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 1% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
