Endosalpingiosis within the muscularis propria of the distal vermiform appendix was discovered in an appendectomy specimen removed during exploratory laparotomy for inflammatory tubal disease. Endosalpingiosis has not been previously reported in the appendix. The pathogenesis and possible significance of this lesion are discussed.
