 Copyright policy )In four cases of retrosternal dislocation of the clavicle, clinical examination was inconclusive and the diagnosis was best made by x-ray laminography. Three joints were reduced and stabilized surgically. In each case the capsule and articular structures remained attached to the manubrium and the denuded inner clavicle lay well behind the sternum. Varying methods of fixation were employed, and motion was begun in six weeks in each instance. Recovery was complete in a few months.
