Abstract We derive the “rotational splitting” of the frequencies of adiabatic nonradial oscillations whose symmetry axis is inclined to the stellar rotational axis. Our result disagrees with Aizenman et al. (1984; AAA 38.065.159) and Pesnell (1985; Astrophys. J., 292, 238), and we discuss the cause of the discrepancies.
